It is your website for your business, so the work should not become useless if you change developer, agency, or host.

What it does

I build the website as source files and standard web output rather than trapping the finished work inside one proprietary page builder. The site can be stored, reviewed, rebuilt, and deployed by another capable developer.

Clients can hold the domain, hosting, source repository, content, and important service accounts in their own name with access granted to the people doing the work.

Why it matters for your business

Businesses change. You may hire staff, move to another provider, sell the business, bring work in-house, or need a system I am not the right person to build.

Portable source gives the next developer a real starting point. It also means ending a working relationship does not require rebuilding the public website from nothing simply because the previous platform controls the files.

What portability does not mean

A custom web app can depend on databases, payment providers, email services, or hosting features that need planning when it moves. Paid fonts, licensed media, domain names, and third-party accounts also have their own terms and transfer processes.

Portability means the source and business-controlled assets can move. It does not mean every connected service can be replaced without migration work.
